On Monday, August 6, 1945, at 8:15 AM, the Atomic Bomb "Little Boy" was dropped on Hiroshima by an American B-29 bomber, the Enola Gay, directly killing an estimated 80,000 people. By the end of the year, injury and radiation brought total casualties to 90,000–140,000. Approximately 69% of the city's buildings were completely destroyed, and another 7% severely damaged.

Autostrada Bucureşti-Ploieşti, deschisă circulaţiei

Traficul pe autostrada Bucureşti-Ploieşti (A3) este deschis joi, cu excepţia ieşirii spre Snagov în cazul căreia lucrările vor fi finalizate miercuri.execuţie,
Pe autostrada Bucureşti-Ploieşti se va circula pe patru benzi, cu un regim de viteză de maximum 100 kilometri pe oră.

Tot azi a fost inaugurat tronsonul Cernavodă-Constanţa din A2. Tronsonul a fost deschis circulaţiei în regim de drum naţional, cu atenţionările şi restricţiile de viteză aferente - maximum 80 km pe oră şi pe o singură bandă pe sens. De la Medgidia la Constanţa, inclusiv pe Centura municipiului Constanţa, se va circula în regim de autostradă, cu toate segmentările, măsurile pentru siguranţa circulaţiei, viteza maximă fiind de 130 de kilometri pe oră.
