Cazul femeii ucise de prea multă muncă: află cum şi-au bătut joc inspectorii de la ITM de moartea bucureştencei!

Soţul femeii care a făcut infarct anul trecut la birou, din cauza suprasolicitării, a dovedit în instanţă că autorităţile au făcut cercetări de mântuială în acest caz. După moartea Ralucăi Stroescu, o tânără ucisă de prea multă muncă în 2007, un alt caz a cutremurat piaţa muncii din România. În martie 2010, Ramona Cîciu, programator la Ipsos Interactive, a facut infarct la birou şi a murit la spital. Femeia abia se întorsese din concediul de maternitate, după ce născuse gemeni în urmă cu doar un an.

Cazul Ramona Cîciu, bucureşteanca răpusă de oboseală la serviciu: „Procurorii, Inspecţia Muncii, toţi şi-au bătut joc de moartea soţiei mele!”

Dincolo de dezbaterile stârnite în presă, povestea s-a stins la scurt timp, lăsând autorităţile să-şi facă anchetele ce se impuneau. Zilele acestea, Judecătoria Sectorului 6 a transmis însă o decizie care arată că nimeni nu şi-a făcut treaba şi că cercetările ITM şi ale procurorilor trebuie reluate.

Soţul vrea dreptate

Cel care a introdus acţiunea pe rol este Marius Cîciu, soţul Ramonei. Deşi a rămas singurul părinte al celor doi copii, el nu a renunţat să lupte împotriva companiei la care a lucrat soţia lui. „Am făcut plângere în instanţă, pentru că era strigător la cer! Eu deţineam dovezi clare că Ramonei i se cereau constant multe ore suplimentare la serviciu, că era vorba despre exploatare la locul de muncă, iar ITM-ul a închis dosarul fără ca măcar să interogheze rudele de gradul I”, a explicat Marius.

El a adăugat că, în ciuda deciziei favorabile, tot nu crede în autorităţile care ar trebui să se ocupe de acest caz. „Atâta timp cât în dosarul ajuns la anchetatori data decesului soţiei mele era 2006, iar etajul sediului firmei la care lucra era 2 şi nu 4, aşa cum este în realitate, ce să mai spun?”, a precizat Cîciu.

Drepturile, apărate doar în instanţă

Un alt semn de lipsă de interes al procurorilor este şi faptul că nici măcar paginile din dosarul de vreo 500 de file nu erau numerotate. „Oamenii trebuie să fie conştienţi că nimeni nu va lupta pentru ei, nici ITM, nici sindicatele. Singuri trebuie să-şi cunoască drepturile, să fie conştienţi de acestea, să-şi schimbe mentalitatea şi să meargă în instanţă ori de câte ori le sunt încălcate drepturile”, a spus avocatul Răzvan Vasiliu, unul dintre apărătorii familiei Cîciu.

Inspectorul muncii: să moară angajatul, apoi anchetăm!

El a adăugat că munca până la epuizare a ajuns o regulă în România, în timp ce, în străinătate, „angajatorii chiar îşi forţează angajaţii să părăsescă sediul firmei la închiderea programului, altfel li se desface contractul de muncă”. „În-afară, angajatorii se tem de controalele instituţiilor de genul ITM-ului românesc, dar, în special, le pasă de condiţia angajatului, a resursei umane”, a conchis Vasiliu.

Daune de 100.000 de euro

Avocatul îl va reprezenta pe Marius Cîciu şi în alt dosar ce va avea termen la 14 noiembrie. Obiectul acestuia îl constituie solicitarea de daune morale în valoare de 100.000 de euro angajatorilor Ramonei Cîciu.

Până la închiderea ediţiei, reprezentanţii SC Ipsos Interactive Services SRL şi Mihoc Maria Cristina nu au dorit să comenteze decizia Judecătoriei Sectorului 6, iar conducerea ITM București a motivat că este prea ocupată pentru a formula un punct de vedere.

Cazul Ramonei Cîciu este doar un exemplu din multele aflate în statisticile Ministerului Muncii, Familiei și Protecției Sociale.
Accidentele de muncă mortale înregistrate anul trecut situează Capitala pe primul loc în ceea ce privește numărul victimelor.
Numai anul trecut, au fost înregistrați în București 680 accidentați, reprezentand 18,5% din totalul pe țară, iar 34 dintre aceștia și-au pierdut viața din cauza rănilor suferite în timpul serviciului.
De-altfel, Bucureștiul a fost periodic în centrul atenției din cauza dramelor, de cele mai multe ori colective, produse pe șantiere.
De fiecare dată, Inspectoratul Teritorial de Muncă București a anunțat demararea unor anchete, ale căror rezultate au rămas necunoscute.

First man ‘functionally cured' of HIV

Since HIV was discovered 30 years ago this week, 30 million people have died from the disease, and it continues to spread at the rate of 7,000 people per day globally, the UN says.

There's not much good news when it comes to this devastating virus. But that is perhaps why the story of the man scientists call the "Berlin patient" is so remarkable and has generated so much excitement among the HIV advocacy community.

Timothy Ray Brown suffered from both leukemia and HIV when he received a bone marrow stem cell transplant in Berlin, Germany in 2007. The transplant came from a man who was immune to HIV, which scientists say about 1 percent of Caucasians are.

(According to San Francisco's CBS affiliate, the trait may be passed down from ancestors who became immune to the plague centuries ago. This Wired story says it was more likely passed down from people who became immune to a smallpox-like disease.)

What happened next has stunned the dozens of scientists who are closely monitoring Brown: His HIV went away.

"He has no replicating virus and he isn't taking any medication. And he will now probably never have any problems with HIV," his doctor Gero Huetter told Reuters. Brown now lives in the Bay Area, and suffers from some mild neurological difficulties after the operation. "It makes me very happy," he says of the incredible cure.

The development of anti-retroviral drugs in the 1990s was the first sign of hope in the epidemic, transforming the disease from a sudden killer to a more manageable illness that could be lived with for decades.

But still, the miraculous cocktail of drugs is expensive, costing $13 billion a year in developing countries alone, according to Reuters. That figure is expected to triple in 20 years--raising the worry that more sick people will not be able to afford treatment.

Although Brown's story is remarkable, scientists were quick to point out that bone marrow transplants can be fatal, and there's no way Brown's treatment could be applied to the 33.3 million people around the world living with HIV.

The discovery does encourage "cure research," according to Dr. Jay Levy, who co-discovered HIV thirty years ago, something that many people did not even think was possible years ago.
