Originally a side project between friends, Wisdom in Chains has been around for several years now as the main focus as far as music for Mad Joe the singer, Richie and Mav, the guitarists, Evan the bassist, and Shannon the drummer.
Wisdom is a Hardcore band, the difference is their recipe. They add metal, punk, Oi! and rock to their music, along with their own signature style. They just do their thing regardless of what the flavor of the day is. With heartfelt, personal lyrics, some call Mad Joe the Johnny Cash of Hardcore. Say whatever you would like about Wisdom, but you cant deny, they put their heart and soul into this music, and they exist without any financial rewards.They do it simply because they must.
The song "My Friend" is the first single off their upcoming album The Missing Links. The video was directed by Dave Causa and Chris Mahmood for There's Always Next Year Productions. The concept of the video is simply a portrayal of the band and the importance of friendship and unity. Following the release of the video "My Friend," Wisdom in Chains gears up for a European Tour and the release of The Missing Links.

Other unusual collaborative hunting techniques include three cheetahs combining to bring down an ostrich and Antarctic killer whales attacking a crabeater seal. In Brazil, tufted capuchins have learned to crack open palm nuts by smashing them with rocks. High speed cameras reveal flying fish taking an aerial route to avoid predatory sailfish, Venus flytraps ensnaring their unwitting victims and two male hippos clashing over the territorial rights to a stretch of river. In some species, parents go to great lengths to protect their young. A mother strawberry poison-dart frog carries each of her six tadpoles high into the rainforest canopy to the safety of a bromeliad pool, then provides them with nutritious unfertilised eggs. A female Pacific giant octopus makes the ultimate sacrifice, starving to death as she guards her eggs. On Deception Island, young chinstrap penguins are trapped on a beach by ice-strewn seas. Abandoned by their parents, they must reach open water to feed. A lone chick fights its way through the ice, only to be ambushed by a leopard seal. Life on Location shows how the filmmakers collaborated with a French yachtsman and the Royal Navy to film Antarctica's top predators.

Full Name: Vincent Willem Van Gogh
Born: 1853 || Died: 1890
Born in Groot-Zundert, The Netherlands, Van Gogh spent his early life as an art dealer, teacher and preacher in England, Holland and Belgium. His period as an artist began in 1881 when he chose to study art in Brussels, starting with watercolours and moving quickly on to oils. The French countryside was a major influence on his life and his early work was dominated by sombre, earthy colours depicting peasant workers, the most famous of which is The Potato Eaters, 1885.
It was during Van Gogh's studies in Paris (1886-8) that he developed the individual style of brushwork and use of colour that made his name. In 1888 he moved to Arles where the Provençal landscape provided his best-known subject matter. However, it also marked the start of his mental crisis following an argument with his contemporary Paul Gauguin. Van Gogh was committed to a mental asylum in 1889 where he continued to paint, but he committed suicide in 1890.
"Vincent's passionate belief was that people wouldn't just see his pictures, but would feel the rush of life in them; that by the force of his brush and dazzling colour they'd experience those fields, faces and flowers in ways that nothing more polite or literal could ever convey.
His art would reclaim what had once belonged to religion - consolation for our mortality through the relish of the gift of life. It wasn't the art crowd he was after; he wanted was to open the eyes and the hearts of everyone who saw his paintings. I feel he got what he wanted.
So what are we looking at with this painting? There's suffocation, but elation too. The crows might be coming at us, but equally they might be flying away, demons gone as we immerse ourselves in the power of nature. It's a massive wall of writhing brilliant paint, in which the colour itself seems to tremble and pulse and sway."

Sex Pistols - The Great Rock n' Roll Swindle (1980) is a mockumentary film directed by Julien Temple and produced by Don Boyd and Jeremy Thomas about the British punk rock band Sex Pistols.
Guitarist Steve Jones plays a detective who - through a series of set piece acts - uncovers the truth about the band. Drummer Paul Cook and bass guitarist Sid Vicious play smaller roles, and the band's manager, Malcolm McLaren, is featured as "The Embezzler", the man who manipulates the Sex Pistols.

In 1951, the Army, working with the Atomic Energy Commission, carried out the Desert Rock Exercises, an experiment to "dispel much of the fear and uncertainty surrounding atomic radiation and the effects of gamma and x-rays."
A tent encampment was set up about 27 miles from where the atomic explosions were detonated on the Nevada Proving Grounds. The encampment housed about 5,000 Army soldiers, civilian observers and technicians. Troops spent hours in classes receiving training in radiation and nuclear weapons effects.
The following is a recorded interview between a sergeant and a training officer prior to a blast: Question. "How many of your men would volunteer to go up and be in the foxholes?" (one-half mile from ground zero) Answer. "I guess about half a dozen." Question. "Its quite a loud noise when that bomb goes off. . .would it do them any harm?" Answer. "No sir, not the noise, no." Question. "How about the radiation? Do you think there is much danger?" Answer. "Radiation is the least of their worries that the men are thinking about." Question. "I think most thought radiation was the greatest danger, didnt they? Where did they learn differently?" Answer. "They were, prior to our instructions here. We received a very thorough briefing."
For the Desert Rock I Exercise, the weapon was fired as an airburst. The majority of the troops were out in the open about seven miles away. The soldiers were told to crouch down and face away from the blast. The bomb flash blanked out the troops from view, and the flash was followed by blast winds and the noise of the explosion. Interviews with soldiers were conducted after the test.
Following the test, the troops were trucked toward the stationary military equipment used for experiments. The experiments were set up one-half mile and also at three miles from the blast. At three miles, the gun emplacements and military vehicles were undamaged, but at on-half mile damage was moderate to heavy.

Lord Byron's personal life and political ideals became the subject of scandal in his own lifetime: his self-mythologizing swagger and satirical genius ensured his place in history. Lord Byron created the figure of the self-legislating individual - a man arrogant enough to live by his own rules.
Shelley was an atheist and an exponent of free love - a man consumed by the search for experience and understanding. The search ended on 8th July 1822, when Shelley drowned off the coast of Italy. His body was cremated, but the heart emerged from the flames - a symbol of religious power for an age without religion.

There are contracts for caterers, tanker drivers, security guards and even interrogators, many of them through companies with links to the White House.
Now more than 70 whistleblower cases threaten to reveal the scandals behind billions of dollars worth of waste, theft and corruption during the Iraq war.
Gagging orders
A total of $23bn (£11.75bn) is under scrutiny.
The US justice department has imposed gagging orders which prevent the real scale of the problem emerging.
But Panorama's Jane Corbin has spoken to some of those involved - with astonishing stories to tell of who got rich and who got burned.
She hears allegations of mismanagement, fraud and waste; tales of contractors chosen for their US government connections without a competitive bidding process; contractors inflating their costs and double counting to increase their profits and billions supposed to be used to rebuild the Iraqi military allegedly ending up in the pockets of some Iraqi government officials.
Even the contract to oversee the expenditure went to a company with no relevant qualification in accounting.
"They are the quintessential war profiteers," said a witness to one of the most notorious companies involved. "They made money out of chaos."

Do you remember our project BLNRB and the parties in Nairobi? From early 2009 to 2011, three bands from the world-renowned Berlin electronic music scene and some of the best bands and musicians from Nairobi engaged in an intense music project. Two studios were established in a townhouse in Nairobi, where all BLNRB artists worked, performed and lived together. After concerts in Nairobi and Berlin, the long awaited CD is out!
The album features 18 original recordings -- as diverse as the more than 20 artists involved. This album bridges this gap and opens a path into a new global clubsound. It is about digging deep into the local Berlin and Nairobi music scenes, building a new urban sound together with some amazing talents from the next generation of African musicians.

Portrait of a Black Hole
An illustration of the Cygnus X-1 system shows a black hole drawing matter off a nearby star. The infalling material creates a disk around the black hole that emits powerful x-rays, which were first detected more than 50 years ago.
Using the multiple radio observatories that make up the National Science Foundation's Very Long Baseline Array, astronomers recently collected enough data to paint a more accurate picture of the black hole in the famous system.
The scientists calculate that the black hole lies 6,070 light-years from Earth, is more than 15 times as massive as our sun, and is spinning more than 800 times a second.

Concertul din Bucureşti va avea loc pe data de 1 decembrie, în The Silver Church Club, începând cu orele 19:00. Alături de timişoreni pe scenă vor urca trupele CARPATICA, KULTIKA şi SINCARNATE.
Biletele vor putea fi achiziţionate exclusiv în ziua concertului, de la intrarea în club, la preţurile de 25 de lei (promo – primele 50 de bilete) şi 30 de lei (după epuizarea primelor 50 de bilete).
Concertul aniversar NEGURĂ BUNGET este produs de Axa Valahă Productions şi Negură Music.

Revoltă la Universitatea din Bucureşti: Studenţii vor să ocupe un amfiteatru timp de patru zile
Un grup de studenţi a încercat joi seară să ocupe un amfiteatru al Facultăţii de Istorie din cadrul Universităţii Bucureşti, în semn de protest pentru bugetul mic alocat Educaţiei.
UPDATE 9:00 Vlad Nistor, decanul de la Facultatea de Istorie, a afirmat pentru adevărul.ro că studenţii sunt civilizaţi şi mulţi dintre ei au idei interesante şi foarte sănătoase pentru societatea românescă. De dimineaţă, a mai spus decanul, tinerii au lăsat-o pe Zoe Petre să-şi susţină cursul în amfiteatrul ocupat de ei, dar unii dintre ei au rămas în sala de curs. "Azi noapte am fost acolo, am discutat cu ei. A venit şi rectorul care nu are nicio problemă cu ei. Singura noastră teamă era să nu fie distrugeri de mobilier, dar am văzut că sunt civilizaţi", a spus Vlad Nistor.
UPDATE 06:00 La această oră au mai rămas 30 de studenţi în amfiteatrul Vasile Pârvan din Facultatea de Istorie. Peste puţin timp tinerii vor schimba tura, ajungând la numărul de 60. Discuţiile cu reprezentanţii Facultăţii vor continua şi astăzi.
UPDATE 04:30 Într-un comunicat remis adevărul.ro, studenţii au formulat problemele şi revendicările lor.
- 2% din PIB pentru educație este inacceptabil. Cerem 6%. Acestia trebuie distribuiti echitabil, in functie de nevoile studentilor si nu conform cerintelor pietei.
- Dorim cresterea autonomiei universitatilor. Au devenit dependente de capital, care reprezinta elita economica a lumii. Universitatile ar trebui sa fie autonome si sprijinite de stat, care sa reprezinte populatia.
- Diploma ar trebui sa reprezinte un statut social ce reflecta o insusire de cunostiinte reale. Acest statut social trebuie sa inceteze sa mai fie o conditie pentru demnitate si functionare normala in societate.
- Democratizarea curriculei: orice subiect, orice interes ar trebui reprezentat. Orice student care doreste sa aprofundeze un subiect aleatoriu trebuie sa poate fi reprezentat.
- Reorganizarea sistemului de pregatire a vitorului personal didactic. In situatia sa actuala, este total ineficient si pune piedici majore pregatirii reale a viitoriilor profesori si invatatori.
- Cerem un mai mare control asupra curriculei. Procesul crearii sale trebuie transparentizat, iar studentii sa aiba mai mult control asupra crearii propriului pachet de cursuri. De asemenea, e important ca studentii sa poata reclama lipsa unor cursuri considerate de acestia necesare.
- Accentul mult prea mare asupra teoretizarii si abstractizarii cunostiintelor indeparteaza universitatea de realitatile societatii. Cerem o mai mare contextualizare a cunostintelor dobandite.
- Cerem statului marirea subventiei fondului de burse. Actuala suma alocata fiecarui individ ca bursa este insuficienta pentru a avea un trai decent. Consideram inacceptabila aceasta umilinta sistematica aplicata studentilor.
- Statutul actual al profesorului este sub demnitatea umana ce poate fi acceptata. Mai mult, remuneratia este inacceptabila, contribuind la scaderea drastica a calitatii educatiei.

UPDATE 23.00 Reprezentanţii Facultăţii de Istorie au ajuns la faţa locului, dovedind solidaritate faţă de studenţi.
"A venit întreaga conducere a facultăţii, rectorul, prorectorul, şi ne-am aşezat la masa negocierilor. Toată lumea a tratat cu noi, numai rectorul încearcă se ne discretiteze. Porţile facultăţii au fost deschise iar studenţii pot intra. Au venit mulţi studenţi şi continuă să vină. În momentul ăsta suntem în jur de 100 de persoane. Jandarmii au fost trimişi acasă, comportamentul lor fiind considerat abuziv. Nimeni nu îşi asumă prezenţa lor aici", a declarat un student care participă la negocieri pentru adevarul.ro.
Potrivit studenţilor, rectorul Universităţii Bucureşti, Ioan Pânzaru, a discutat cu ei şi a încercat să le minimalizeze protestul.
UPDATE 22.00 Circa 70 de studenţi au rămas în amfiteatrul de la etajul al 3 lea al Facultăţii de Istorie.
"De la etajul 2 până jos, la intrare, sunt nişte oameni de la o firmă de pază care a fost angajată astăzi. Nu i-am mai văzut până acum, au apărut cam cu o oră înainte de dezbatere şi au stat la uşa amfiteatrului în timpul conferinţei. Nu poate nimeni intra, au apărut şi nişte civili care ne-au arătat nişte legitimaţii de jandarmi, nu ştim ce-i cu ei aici. Credem că pe toţi cei care vor să ne sperie i-au chemat conducerea Universităţii. Nu înţelegem de ce, pentru că dezbaterea noastră a fost paşnică şi a avut un subiect comun: finanţarea Educaţiei", ne-a declarat un tânăr care încă se mai află în amfiteatru.
Tinerii ne-au spus că intervenţia oamenilor de ordine n-a fost tocmai paşnică: "S-au dat coate, au fost câteva contacte dure, i-au îmbrâncit pe scări, adică trebuia să iei câteva ca să pătrunzi în facultate, trebuia să treci practic de un zid uman", ne-a povestit un altul.
Studenţii au acces doar până la un automat de sendvişuri de la etajul al 2-lea, unde oamenii de la firma de pază proaspăt angajată azi le-au permis să ajungă.
UPDATE 21.40 La această oră, în amfiteatrul "Pârvan" au mai rămas circa 100 de studenţi care continuă protestul. Ei ştiu că la intrarea în facultate sunt, în continuare, oameni care păzesc intrarea.
Potrivit primelor informaţii, în sediul facultăţii s-ar fi aflat aproximativ 250 de studenţi care vroiau să protesteze faţă de bugetul mic acordat de Ministerul Educaţiei pe anul viitor, cerând şi rediscutarea sistemului de la Bologna, sistem care îi obligă la trei ani de studii şi alţi doi de masterat.
Protestul viza ocuparea amfiteatrului "Pârvan" din cadrul Facultăţii de Istorie, timp de patru zile, nonstop. "Venisem pregătitţi cu saci de dormit, mâncare, lanterne, tot ce ne trebuia ca să stăm acolo patru zile, până duminică, la ora 18.00. Am ales această formă de protest ca să arătăm că Universitatea este a noastră, a studenţilor, chiar dacă se iau decizii care nu ne privesc pe noi", ne-a spus unul dintre studenţi. Tinerii n-au anunţat oficial despre ce au de gând, doar s-au înţeles între ei.
Protestul a început cu o dezbatere, joi seara, la ora 18,00, organizată împreună cu organizaţia neguvernamentală "Miliţia Spirituală", la care au invitat şi câţiva profesori. "Cei din Miliţia Spirituală sunt foşti studenţi de la Facultatea de Istorie, de aceea au fost cu noi", ne-au povestit studenţii.
Subiectul dezbaterii - sistemul de învăţământ Bologna şi bugetul Educaţiei - a fost anunţat pe afişe împânzite în toată Universitatea, astfel că toată lumea a aflat de conferinţa de la ora 18.00. Unul dintre invitaţi a fost şi profesorul Carol Căpiţă, unul dintre puţinii dascăli mai apropiaţi de studenţi.
În scurt timp s-au adunat în sala amfiteatrului vreo 250 de tineri. La un moment dat, unii dintre ei au primit mesaje pe telefoane prin care erau anunţaţi de către alţi colegi că la intrarea în facultate stau jandarmii care nu le dau voie să participe la conferinţă. "Ne-au spus că i-au alungat şi pe cei de pe holuri, care apucaseră să intre, erau colegi şi de la alte facultăţi care voiau să participe. I-au percheziţionat, i-au căutat în genţi de sprayuri şi cuţite, le-au luat CNP-urile, s-au purtat mizerabil", ne-a povestit o tânără.
Când au aflat, cei din sală au reacţionat diferit: unii s-au speriat şi au plecat, iar alţii au rămas, decişi să-şi ducă protestul până la capăt.
